A Variety of Controllers for Schools and Workshops

The Industrial Shop Controllers can be utilized to control multiple utility services, gas and electrical convenience outlets that are commonly used in either educational, research or medical facilities. Controllers are standard fitted from 4 – 9 output circuits depending upon the project requirements. Units can be custom expanded to up to twenty (20) outputs. Utility controllers are ideally suited for use in the shop classrooms to activate such devices as table saws, grinders, and other power tools in the classroom.

    Other Uses for the Utility Controller
  • Woodworking and Automotive Shops – The Shop Controller can restrict access to electric and pneumatic power tools and machines that are the most frequent causes of student injury when used without instructor supervision. The safety features of the Utility Controller permit the instructor to activate only those power tools that are intended for use during the class period.
  • Research and Medical Facilities – The 5000 / 6000 Series Shop Controller can be utilized to control multiple utility services, gases and electrical convenience outlets that are commonly used in either an educational, research or medical facility. Access to a service can be master controlled at the point of origin or each outlet or device can be individually controlled. As many as twenty separate utilities or devices can be controlled by a single Shop Controller. A secondary pre-packaged relay is used to interface with the controlled utility or device. Pre-assembled enclosures to house the remote relays and/or solenoids are also available and are custom assembled per each specific project specifications.

  • Programmable timer automatically turns off utilities when classroom is not in use.
  • Utilities default OFF until emergency has been resolved and teacher activates system.

  • Emergency Shower Monitor notifies if water is flowing.
