In review of the Oklahoma State Department of
Education - Science & Safety Making the Connection published by the
Council of State Science Supervisors and provided to the Science
Departments of the Public Schools of Oklahoma by the State
Superintendent of Public Instruction, December, 2000, it is our
opinion that the ISIMET Utility Controller complies fully with
standards established for master and emergency shut-off.
Excerpts from the Oklahoma State Department of
Education Science & Safety Making the Connection
Where can I find a general science-safety checklist? "Have master
cut-off switches/valves within each laboratory (preferably in one
secure location); know how to use them; and keep water, gas, and
electricity turned off when not in use."

Are there recommended checklists covering the physical
layout/specifications of science labs? "There should be lockable
storage for certain items. Emergency/master shut-off controls for
water, gas, and electricity should be in a securable location near
the teacher's station."
