be readily accessible

“In case of a fire or electrical accident, you should shut off gas
and/or electricity in the laboratory. Master electrical and gas
cut-off switches should be available in each laboratory, clearly
labeled, and should be readily accessible and easy to use. A master
switch in a locked cabinet or one that requires a wrench to operate
will not be useful in an emergency situation.”
