In review of the Council of Science Supervisors - Science & Safety Making the Connection, it is the opinion of ISIMET that the Utility Controller complies fully with standards established for master and emergency shut-off.

Excerpts from the Council of State Science Supervisors Science & Safety Making the Connection

Where can I find a general science-safety checklist? “Have master cut-off switches/valves within each laboratory (preferably in one secure location); know how to use them; and keep water, gas, and electricity turned off when not in use.”

Are there recommended checklists covering the physical layout/specifications of science labs? “There should be lockable storage for certain items. Emergency/master shut-off controls for water, gas, and electricity should be in a securable location near the teacher’s station.”
