In review of the California Department of
Education-Science Facilities Design, 1993, it is our option that
the ISIMET Utility Controller complies fully with standards
established for master shut-off for natural gas and master
electrical panel as stated on pages 45 and 48, and master water
shut-off as stated on page 48.
Electrical Facilities Paragraph 5, Page 45
“One master electrical panel for the room is to be located near the
teacher’s station and as near an exit as possible.”
Natural (or bottle) gas Sub Section 3,
Paragraph 2, page 45.
“One master gas shut-off valve should be provided, located near the
teacher’s station and as near to the exit as possible.”
Safety Features Necessary in Case of
Emergencies Sub Section 6, Paragraph 4, Page 48.
“A Master gas shut-off valve and master electrical shut-off switch
(If any individual water shut-off valves are inaccessible, a master
water shut-off valve should be provided.)”
